August 21, 2008
In the real estate affordability news, Indianapolis Indiana is the most affordable homes market in the United States. The average homes price for the city was at $108,000 for the 2nd quarter 2008. This average homes price is down sharply from a value of $122,000 for the same time last year. And if you add in the additional consideration of the average household income for the area of $65,100 - this means that approximately 91.6% of the citizens in the city are able to afford to purchase a home in this area. And just for reference: New York is the least affordable city in the USA.
